Cheryl MacNeill Wins International Officiating Award



Canada’s own Cheryl MacNeill has been selected as this years winner of the International Officiating Award. This award is presented to individuals who have made a significant impact worldwide to the growth and development of lacrosse officiating, while also demonstrating the highest standards as an official. 

 
Cheryl has put her heart and soul into the growth & development of lacrosse officiating. She has perspective on the game like no other. She played at the 1997 World Cup; served as the assistant coach of the 1999 U19 Women’s National Team; officiated several World Cups. She has trained & mentored officials in addition to serving as a Technical Delegate at the 2011 & 2015 U19 Women’s World Cups. 
 
Over the last 3 years, Cheryl has been instrumental in developing the Sixes officiating materials to get the game ready for the 2028 Olympics. Her wealth of volunteer work, in conjunction with her love of the game has impacted so many people in a positive manner. We here at Lacrosse Canada can’t thank Cheryl enough for everything she has done and continues to do for lacrosse,
